From the Desk of Chairman-in-the-Extraordinary, David H. Moorehouse II

Planetary Solutions, like all great undertakings, started small. It was but a germ of an idea that first made itself known a week after the outbreak of the First World War. That germ of an idea was conjured by my great-grandfather Professor Wycliffe Moorehouse. It came to him in the form of a question, and that question was: “How can I futureproof the world?”

 

A simple enough concept, on paper, but a task seemingly insurmountable in its execution. My great-grandfather set about collecting resources and expertise from around the world, the greatest minds of his age, to begin drafting out a plan of action to ensure the world not only survived this hitherto unprecedented global carnage but was also safeguarded from its recurrence.

 

This of course took longer than he anticipated, with another world war and near nuclear annihilation occurring in only the forty years after his immortal question, not to mention the countless skirmishes and internecine clashes that have arisen since. However, his zeal and his persistence ensured his quest would be handed down across the generations of the Moorehouse family, not to be diluted by time, but strengthened by legacy. So, like my father before me and his father before him, I now stand at the vanguard of a final answer to this epochal dilemma.

 

For over a century, Planetary Solutions has offered guidance and resources to academic institutions, technology companies and even entire nations, helping shape and solve the enigma that is the human species. Now I can proudly declare that our sharpest minds and most talented engineers have finally solved this era defining conundrum that was first posed by my great-grandfather as he stood against the blood-soaked tide of world-changing conflict. How can we futureproof the world? I present to you, Project First Light™.
